Austin Custom Home Builder, Jenkins Custom Homes, is pleased to announce they have just won Custom Builder of the Year for the state of Texas (2009-2010). This is the second time in three years the home builder has been chosen for the award for excellence in product design and construction. Each year the Texas Association of Builders (TexasBuilders.org) selects one and only one custom home builder to represent our industry. It is, by far, the highest honor a custom home builder in Texas can achieve. In addition to Custom Home Builder of the Year, Jenkins was also chosen for eight Star Awards including Best Custom Home, Best Architectural Design, Best Overall Interior Design, and Best Specialty Room, among others.

Jenkins is also excited to announce their participation in the 2010 Parade of Homes in Austin, Texas. After the last successful Parade of Homes in 2008, Jenkins Custom Homes was receptive to the idea of another Parade, especially since this one will be a custom home for a client. Jenkins Custom Homes has a strong history of designing and building exceptional show homes. In 2006, the Jenkins Showcase of Homes entry was recognized as the Best Custom Home in Texas by the Texas Association of Builders and resulted in Jenkins being named the 2006 Custom Builder of the Year.

In 2004, Jenkins was also invited to build a custom home for the Showcase of Homes. This custom home was also recognized with a Star award from the Texas Association of Home Builders as the Best Custom Home for 2004. This home was featured on the cover of Frontgate Magazine.

In 2009, Jenkins participated in the Parade of Homes at Skywater in Horseshoe Bay. This home won every single People’s Choice Award in every category! This custom home also won several state-wide Star Awards by the Texas Association of Builders, including Best Custom Home in its price category.

As impressive as all of the awards may be, what draws individuals to a Jenkins home is the experience of building a home with some of the most enjoyable and creative people in the industry. Their copyrighted Lifestyle Analysis, developed in 2004, was the first to really focus on designing a home around the lifestyle of those living in the home.
